Taos is situated in the Sangre de Cristo mountains at the
southernmost point of the Rockies.

It's well known that Taos is a mountain for experienced skiers.
But in reality, only 51% of the ski area is rated as advanced
or expert. Beginner and intermediate skiers make up about
equal portions of the remaining 49%. The majority of the beginner
and intermediate terrain may be found much to the right of
the ski area and at lower elevations., Taos enjoys 305 inches
of snowfall year on average.

currently includes a 9.4375% Taos Tax and is subject
